More about this wine from Conca de Barbera, Spain
“If there is any philosophy in the world of wine, it is to do things at the right time. Neither before nor after, all in good time.” This is the wisdom of Josep Vardi, winemaker behind Spain’s Clos Montblanc, and this bottle of Origen, a red blend of Grenache, Cabernet and Samsó (also known as Carignan) grapes. Their sustainable vineyards are located near the Cistercian monasteries, and so the idea behind this particular bottle was to emulate wines that were made by these Catalonian holy winemakers in the 14th century. 300 years of family tradition went into this bottle, and you can taste the history in every dramatically powerful sip.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

We love red meats with Spanish blends, but sometimes a nice hearty pasta works well. So here’s a yummy chorizo and pasta recipe for the best of both worlds.
